about me

i have always been an artist - i’ve been cartooning for as long as i can remember. from writing, inking, and stapling my own fan comics in my teenage bedroom to now, my desire to draw and tell stories with my art has never left me. however, my career path did not necessarily reflect that.

art school was out of the cards after some poor portfolio reception so i pivoted to another art form, musical theatre, and proceeded to have a fairly decorated ten year career as a people operations/office manager. nevertheless, i insisted on using my artistic proclivities in that work. i looked for every opportunity to create something with my own hands, tell my story, within my positions. and in turn i took the project management skills, ability to give and receive crucial feedback, and my deep love for people to hone my skills as a creative even further. now, after finishing a comprehensive graphic design program, i feel confident that i can and will create work that is effective, compassionate, and beautiful.

People Operations Specialist/Marketing Assistant

  • Operations specialist for a fully remote healthcare tech startup.

  • Transitional role: team was aware of and encouraged my pivot, giving me opportunities to work with Marketing VP to learn design elements in the field

  • Design: oversaw design, production, and  distribution of bespoke swag for inaugural Tech team Hackathon: created design for hooded sweatshirts and crystal trophies for all participants; worked with Marketing VP to establish brand coherence, created various one-pagers and signage for both People Operations purposes and for client-facing events.

GALE Partners - Sr. Office Manager, Jan 2023 - Aug 2024

  • One of three office managers for an advertising agency in 1 WTC.

  • Design: OM predominantly focused on employee experience and social events; created and maintained a massive global social calendar of bespoke events, national/international holidays while creating signage, interactive elements, and swag for each. Distributed said material across offices (Bangalore, Toronto, Kansas City, Denver, NYC) in packaged design files/fully fabricated items. Events included Drag Bingo, Team Summer Picnic, Halloween Desk Decorating contest, Turkey Trot drives, Diwali Celebration, International Women’s Day, etc.

  • OM for real estate software company under larger property tech umbrella.

  • Design: sole designer for any/all internal office communications, creating fliers for events, policy changes, etc.; designed  game mechanics, rule book, and interactive elements for yearly company retreat, including dynamic interactable ‘final’ puzzle for ‘Legends of the Hidden Temple’-esque challenge.
